I suppose that's one "good" thing about my degree (aero engineering), there aren't too many terms/words/etc that have "alternative" meanings.
What, like cockpits, turboshafts, thrust, nozzles, corkscrews, ram drag, payload, flaps, and wind tunnels?

No, but most normal people have things of the same type in other varieties.

It's possible, but not usually.

If it indirectly runs on electricity, does it have anything to do with magnets? Gravity? Oxygen?

Does it provide a light source to the room?

Noes.

Recap: you've basically figured out that there's some other kind of device which runs on electricity (sometimes batteries), which is required to use the objects/devices in question for entertainment purposes. That's what the 'indirectly' tells you.

Where the electricity comes from is irrelevant. You just need to know that you need an electrical device to use the objects which are the answer to the mystery. The batteries are only relevant because it tells you some of those electrical devices are portable.

We had to ignore this thread so that this thread would not exceed the number of pages that SouthX's thread has.

Do the batteries get drained or replenished?

Irrelevant. I already told you the only reason the batteries are relevant in my previous post. So, ask questions about something else instead of the batteries.
