Maybe this would be a good place to implement my (incredably complicated) bank idea... which I can't find for the life of me. I know it's around this site somewhere...

Now to get rid of the crappy ideas Or at least in my mind..
-The countries are completely made up(good)
-Buy improvements(good) (such as bridges, resources, things to get resources)
-It can be worm related (only thing worm related, will me the character that moves from box to box. And that will be a mini worm..)
-Assign at least 1 bluie to each group with at least 500 pounds to each country.
-The leader of the country will be the person with the most money.
-Money will NOT be reset, because that would kill this entire idea.
-You could have it so the richest person in a country owns it, that way people can club together their money and take over their contry - revolution(very good)
-The map of the countries be isometric(good)
-To play the game you must have at least 50 posts
-Region admin,they could give authorization to build roads, bridges and stuff(kinda good)
-Leader of the city can case people out of their country, to live on an outcasts country (sorta like a ban option for people who can ruin the country)(this idea is only good, if you don't want the leader of the city to authorize stuff. This would make the game more interesting)

-Buy other people's land with money you get from resources.
-Other countries can buy resources to help, their resources. (such as Machinery+Rock=Minerals, Minerals+Machinery=More Machinery)

-The more resources you get, the more it helps you to get the the center of the maps. Everyone is equally away from the center. The first to the center of the map wins. You can also gain money from the game, by creating resources, that you can sell. You can build brides to other land masses. No boats or planes.(Idea is only good if you want this to be a game, rather then something where you just own a lot of stuff)

I belive I said this but I want to say it again.

The game will have to be reset after a set amount of time... and a "World Leader" declared.

This "game" will require ALOT of thorough planning... I bet we won't even see it for a year...

I pity the person who will have to deal with the mathematics of the whole thing.

And we banish your terrible ideas again, DJ A winner will be declared, once, what ever the object of the game, is finished. If it's the race idea, then once they make it to the center of the map, or whatever. (*me thinks we should have just stuck with rusk*)

i know archie has a list of ideas on his site, but here's how I'd run it (basically)

At 20 posts (50 is quite a lot early on) you can pay £10 to join a country.

PAYE Income tax once you join a country that goes towards the coutry treasury. This rate is chosen by the treasury but maxed at 20%.

Each month there is an 'election' this doesnt actually involve voting, but the 5 people who have made the most money for their country become the government, in this order:

King
Prime Minister
Chancellor
Foreign Secretary
Minister of Defence

The chancellor controls spending, the foreign secretary controls inter country relations and the MofD controls armies.

To take any action there must be a majority vote among the government, PM and King have Veto rights. Only the king has the right to exile a person from the country, but 2 other members of the cabinet have to agree.

The race idea is crap as it needs to be reset, this could be constantly going. A person could also pay £500 plus 4 £100 ppl to start a new country, but start with 0 in the treasury.

Each country would have a mini forum where they make policy decisions and hold referendums.

Each month a winner would be announced based on trading, military and industry.

I've yet to put much thought into how to manage trading military or industry.

You forgot to mention how the battles would be, though.
