Pfft..... No console game can be modded.
And you forget what I say. And HaloPC doesn't even get modded that much anyway.
HaloPC's modDB profile.
There's only 7 registared mods for HaloPC and only 1 has been released.

You CAN mod games off xbox, it just needs to be loaded onto the HDD.

Did we all forget Halo Custom Edition?
edit: Also, on higher levels on Matchmaking, Tactics are very important. Everyone knows what to do, so your team has to figure out how to get that bomb to the arming spot and armed/planted with 4 minutes for that round.
1 case is usually a group of people go one way, bomber takes Active Camo, sneaks around side of the base by crouching (running if no-ones around) and everyone meets at one part of the base while bomber gets in position (note: on coagualtion).

Yes.

Wow very tactical, Sneaking. What about fire and flanks? Ambushes? Supressing fire? The only 3 tactics you can use in Halo is rush, sneak and camp. The end.

You can use strategy in Halo, you just have to have a good group together. Ambushes are actually quite common at our local lan parties.

That's it though. Rush or don't, and stick together. That tactic can be applyed to every game.
Try using Fire&Flank effectively in Halo. It doesn't work because people can shrug off the suppressing fire.
EG:
The blues have the red supressed and are sending a fire team round to flank them. The Reds pop out with a rocket, Boom goes the blues and the reds just restore their shields and fight the blue's fire team.

But that's differant. You can still look out of a corner quickly because the shields will recharge.
Well disable the sheilds then
But that's not playing Halo how it was ment to be played (Kinda). One of Halo's selling points was the recharging shields which several games have copied.

you what? It's customizability. It's like saying worms was made to be played with one scheme and one map. Halo was meant to be played with whatever settings you like.
(still hasn't said it yet tho, heh)

Actually, I wasn't going to say get rid of the shields. I was going to say bring back the goddammed lifebar, but you can't actually do that with the options. So instead, I have this to say:
Get more efficient at killing things. If their shields are managing to recharge, then you evidentally aren't hitting them. AFAIK, the recharge counter bottoms back out whenever you get hit again. So, if you're giving them a chance to recharge by just pinning them down, then there's something wrong with you. That's like saying that you've won because you have a sniper rifle pointed exactly where my head will come out. It doesn't work that way, because I can still crouch, jump, come out at different distances, etc, which would all give me a pretty damn good chance at beating YOU instead.
Something else as regards setting ambushes. The Halo radar is motion-detecting. If you stand still and crouch in one place, your signal will eventually drop off the radar. Use that to your advantage.

Ah, just read his second paragraph.
Look, what if somebody is hiding behind the wall on beaver creak (On the left side of the bases) with a rocket. The could jump up and fire the rocket. They would only be exposed to less than half a second. 4 people couldn't kill him that quick.
It's just not slow enough to have an effective use of tactics, and too fast to be all-out arcade action.

Actually, it was the players mistake to make them that big of a target, even if he pops out, 4 people Shouldnt be that close together, if the teamate was killed by a rocket camper, throw a nade, jump over wall (its possible) and battle rifle his ass. Or better yet, don't go there!
Speed is of the essence and it sure as hell not like any other game which is what makes halo unique to any other game

I don't think I'm ever gonna win this arguement. I'm calling for a draw.
In other news. Halo film script delivered

UnrealTourny2K4 is great, but I can only play trial (trickjumping) because of my 200MS ping.. it doesn't delay jumps but it delays shots, which is incredibly annoying..
Also if anyone remembers Half-Life (one), that game owned so bad.. I wish I still had it.. I had it like 5-6 years ago.. man it was fun killing people with the crowbar..
