Heh, yeh - I haven't visited this forum in ages, it's on my ignore list...

Anyway, seeing as the is blamethepixel I started thinking about Pixel Art, so I changed my avatar to include something I just drew: my house!





Meh, it's my first pixel art thing. Not too bad, I could recognise it as my house if someone else drew it. heh.

very sw33t zog. When I first saw it, I thought it was nabbed from the Habbo Hotel site.

Never experimented with pixel art properly, seems crisp though.

It occured to me that I actually missed off a little chunk of house, as well as the chimney, and an aerial, and some shadow, and a window, which is quite a bit actually. heh.

To draw it took me the odd 45 mins. The problem is if something's not quite right you have to tweak it all upwards. heh.

Anyway, here's the new house, still minus the chimney

I wasn't sure what to do for that window on the left, it's a bit ugly. And not sure about the shadow either. Heh. Oh well, I'll stick with my current one as the avater, this one's a tad big anyway.

I too would like to know what this is all about. I mean what defines pixel art from anything else?

it's the drawing style spaz, there's no anti-aliasing, and it's graphically quite accurate, alot of it is drawn pixel by pixel. Look at the link in the post above the post that includes the road... Do you not see something distinctive about that?

and no star worms, it's a chimney. lol.

Actually i was going to do some sort of soildier but i messed up his legs and well.. sort of made it really bad.

Any tutorial sites about so I don't use time up for something I could solve by lookin on the web about?
