and besides y should i change, from msn, its not as if ive seen any benefits or for that matter anyone else except about 3 ppl here use any other bollocks, its a messenger service u use it to chat fuck sake its not supposed to cook toast or anything.

I wasn't moaning about his technical Jargon. I'm just saying I don't want something which lets you be able to do loads of stuff. Something simple which cant go wrong easily and Yes msn is working again. thanks for the 'it sometimes does that' comment from C1

ya it was. ppl mostly talk to me. u see i just dont wanna waste memory. and my sister might get confused and do something stupid. or ask for my help and then scream at me after i try to.

MSN is the best network because thats what everyones uses, i like IRC but it's been a long time since i've found a decent channel, and even longer since i've found a great server (lots of fun ppl who visit a lot etc)

I'm on DALnet, GamesNET, Multi-Theft Auto's IRC Server, GameEditing, BeyondIRC, IRChat (#blamethepixel), and EFnet.

hmm, whenever i try to connect to one of the pre-installed efnet or DALnet servers i get a connection failed error, i dont usppose you can give me some host addresses?

sure. here's the servers i connect to (on start shit):

irc.multitheftauto.com - multitheftauto
irc.gamesnet.net - gamesnet
rad.gta-vice.com - idk
jade.va.us.dal.net - DALnet
irc2.beyondirc.net - BeyondIRC
sinister.lomag.net - idk
irc.efnet.net - EFnet

you have to be sure port 1863 is open for Ident on DALnet. and of course 6667. Also, I have my connection settings set to try next server in list, otherwise i'd probably never get connected to DALnet, it usually takes a few servers to get it, and irc.dal.net never works for me (used to a long time ago).

how many of em do u actually use?

how many what? commands? a helluvalot, that's how many. my main script just for chatting is 3.4 KB. i've used about every function of mIRC, including aliases, popups (thats what i started on), timers, all kinds of if statements, hash tables, variables, ... control codes, raw server code (send/receive), um, that's about all I can think of off the top of my head.
