I have a PS3. And I'm going to tell you all about it.

Great features:
-Ability to rip music CDs directly to the PS3
-Ability to browse the internet (with Flash and Javascript)
-Ability to chat with friends online who have and play PS3 (without having to play a game)
-Blu-Ray (maybe a bad thing)
-HD compatatible
-Can download demos to PS3
-View photos directly from Memory Stick
-Pretty much backwards compatible up to SNES (like Wii, you can buy games off the store and play on your PS3) <-- btw there still isn't many games for that either. In fact, as of this post there is only 1. Mortal Combat 2.
-Has some weird User Login system

I got rid of my 5 disk CD player and my DVD player and replaced it with my PS3.

Worth it? Yes.

The problem is COST!

60GB PS3 + HDMI Cable + Extra Controller = ~$1000

Cons:
-Price
-Not a good selection of games atm
-Can't play Guitar Hero on it (can't connect guitars, you see) <-- This is a major problem btw
-60GB HD? You're kidding, right?

Wii has simiar features as PS3, such as the internet browsing, but you have to purchase (with cash) the browser first before you can do that. Also you have to buy thousands of connector thingies for the Wii remote, and also the Wii Gamepad. Wii has a better selection of games you can buy online as well.

btw, before anyone says "I have a PC", can your PC play games/watch movies with a 50" HDTV? I THINK NOT.
