wel, i played runescape for 2 months, then it started to get boring, and boring and more boring, and then, i just quit playing.

A friend introduced me to the game, and it seemed pretty crappy, he just goes in and says "Look! Jagex doesnt let you type your password! ******" and people type theirs and he gets 'em... I have a lvl 61 or something but i havent been on the site for a few months.

Only problem is..you can't type the word "password" on runescape

I don't see what that's going to solve when you can just say pass or p/word or pass word instead

They block almost any word that is like that.

They block swears, "password", "hacked", names of runescape programs, acronyms for swears and other words, etc.

Edit: putting spaces between words don't work either. They still block it. They also don't allow you to type in slashes (come up blank) and you can't type in websites.

That REALLY sucks.

The chat is only spammed in high user concentrated areas.

Oh yeah, like in that town center plce where the fountain is and the market stalls. There would always be like 200 there all shouting stuff with their rainbow flashing messages of "full rune!"...

Ive dipped in and out of the game at times but have so far failed to see whats so interesting about it.

Yeah. I went to my friends house about a month back when he was playing runescape and he was trying to buy full rune.
I wanted him to finish up so I typed for him (he sucks at typing)
Seems my typing abilities is as fast as an auto lol..
I can fill the entire screen with "buying rune legs 45k" in a few seconds.

Jagex uses code that works like php's regular expressions. Patern matching for phrases and letters in sequence. typing "pw" echo's "**" or typing "whoop woot" echo's "whoo***oot" to again prevent the charicters "p - w" from being displayed. Some charicters have been disabled completely such at the forward slash, and curly braces. As well as angle brackets. Done to prevent circumventing the filter.

Who ever posted that about saying "Jagex blocks you from saying your pass." This is a popular scam, and i'd like nothing more then to Knock your friends teeth out just for being a peice of shit. Scaming is not cool, and ruins the game for everyone. On my clan site, I'll soon be putting up an anti hack / scam guide to prevent loosers like your "friend" from getting people's accounts. I hope he rots in hell the little shit.

You get what you pay for. Java is a cool platform that is suported on every system. Mac, PC, even linux and BSD (with a gui). Addmitted Java is slower then hell, but for 5 bucks a month, its not bad.

Pio.. yeah i got a 500mhz celeron CPU 256 MB DIMM, 32 MB ATI Rage Pro Turbo (2x) AGP onboard video. Crystal Sound Fussion Sound Chipset. My PC will not run EQ, Ragnarok Online, or even Ultimma Online... well okay, I might get away with UO. But I really can't afford that, At 22 years old.. I have neat things in my life called bills and rent. And a Job,,, Sucks... Life happens, deal with it. I enjoy RS. To relax, and just chill for a few hours a day. Ive made a lot of good bud, Like I have here with Pio, and C1, Pope.. (whom I met at wormwars). RS isn't all bad.. of course it isna't all good either. Its nice, and I enjoy it.

If he thinks hes bothing me.. he's wrong. If he bans my Ip, i'll use a proxy.. or I have the unique power to release my IP address and request a new one from my ISP, and have it in anbout 20 seconds. If he deletes my account. I'll create a new one, and one of my vaious Admin friends will restore / unbann me.. whatever.
