Ye, alot of people wanted him banned for being super annoying, but they didn't because there would be alot of whineing of some users afterword

Whining from me. I think you have been totally unreasonable, Source hadn't done anything in particular, banning somebody just because of who they are is ultimately ridiculous. Maybe he grew up a bit, or just decided to be nice, but you clearly don't think that is possible....

He did NOT grow up. He was the same as before, only worse. He was only nice so he would get shit from people (yet we all do).
To me, he was annnoying as hell.



He has been proven as Kyle, Kyle has been using 300 different accounts, all banned, he has done TREMENDOUS ammount of spamming, Abused the money system and then transfering the money to another account, Submitted files then deleted 10x, Subbmitted like, 600 useless spam files, Register Spammed with innapropriate names, and more. WHY DO YOU WANT THIS GUY ON ZOG's SITE

I don't care if it was kyle or not. He hadn't done anything especially wrong with that account.

You are completely missing the point. The more you ban people and say you hate them, the more kick he will get from annoying you. Leavr him be for a week or two and he will calm down.

I would like to point out, we are banning the ONE user, not multiple. And you will notice, only with due cause.

This is a letter from Kyles ISP, to zogger. Notifying him, of action that will be taken.

Kyle was indeed warned we would contact his ISP, if he continued to plague the site. We asked him to the chat room to tell him it, and he agreed to not come back

Within the week he was indeed back, and as such zog emailed the isp. The final result shown here.

Remember people, this is one user. Not 50. as they are all the same person.


We are not being too harsh. Please find me some examples. when you say we are being too harsh. Please also recall what the person KYLE has done to btp, at every new chance.

Abused the money system
Deleted everyones pixles, through a bug, which he could have reported.
Submitted hundred off spamm files
Spammed the forum half to death
Registered with obscene names as an act of revenge.
Disrupted the community as a whole.

This has been the user, that i and Pioneer, have sat in the chat room along weith Knifa, and occansionally actual admin. And conferred and watched over new users. At the sign of something suspect, we have tried to clear things up.

Lets take "Sources" case,

This user signed up as normal. And began posting in the forum.

Now that is not unusual. But. Wouldnt you think, that joining BTP for the community alone was odd? We did. And an IP check revealed Source was using PROXIES. this of course is no crime. Pio simply politely asked him why.

To be told he is at school?

Schools and other filters, dont block BTP specifically. More than liekly they block actual proxies. And source was also on at after 8:30pm. Shown in his userlogs.

Again pio asked. And to be told he is on a friends computer, using a proxy to circumvent, his mother specifically banning the site.

Wouldnt he have had to visit under a normal IP 1st? before anyone could see that the site was "innapropriate" as the friends mother was concerned about downloads.

No, it was right off the bat on a proxy.

If you do not have reason to believe that is "suspicious" then i dont know what you find suspicious.

this is a user we have never even suspected. Wonder why? look. They arnt doing anythign suspect. No.

thier IP address is also valid. And individual.

These users, we can tell right away they are for real.


Lets take another "abusive example"

User Thingeox. He started multirefreshing pages. there is nothing to gani by this, except money.

Now this user was taxed, thus removing the money advantage of page viewing.

This users profile was also edited. To change thier status to "i cheat for hits"

Now, he was not banned at this point.

He was banned however. When he continually posted abscene messages. Abusing staff for "FUCKING UP HIS ACCOUNT"

How can we stop that, without a ban, considernig his rating was also dropping like a stone? And having not enough effect/



Final thoughts from me now.

I dont think a ban is a signal. To make a new account.

readme, has also stated this, as pio quoted. If users are proven to be a double account, they are banned. Simple as that. What is the point in ratings, and all this stuff, if you can run off and make a new account?

Now. im done. with explaining ourselves.

Bannings are not done by us on a whim. we discuss in the chat room etc. This is where you people miss out. And as such, it appears to be we are banning people with no reason.

Now thanks for that rather nice post. I would rather you argued with Someone like Readme over this. You obviously have a problem with the rules. Not us upholding the rules.

Perhaps you can persude them, that we should treat every new account as a new user completly. Although that begs the question. Why have ratings etc in the 1st place?

I did post this thread, with a lighter atittude in mind. Not a direct insult. Perhaps it was too personal. In that you were upholding peoples rights as your self elected protecter of new accounts. It was not directly at you, more so, everyone who was telling us to shut it and that we were wrong.

Id like to stress something else too.

I'm with pio on this. A banned user shouldn't be allowed to sign up again, act nice and expect to be let off. If i was banned and wanted to sign up again with a clean slate, i would AT LEAST LET MY IDENTITY BE KNOWN. Source didn't. And even if he did, he'd probably have been banned again, regardless.

I think that the ISP letter thing was a good move, it will make him buck up his ideas, however along with a ban, there is no point. The letter will surely scare him into submission , so he should be unbanned, in order to allow him to try and regain some sort of credibility. Unban him, for me. If he does go back to his old ways, by all means ban him, I admin defeat, but I believe the guy genuinely wants to be here; he has been good as Source, he even used a proxy in order to get a clean slate, but you wouldn't let it go.

Regarding another "abusive example", editing somebody's profile is "Fucking with his account". Although he could have been nicer about it, he did have a point, so a ban was maybe not the answer, but meh.

Re: Glenn's post. I agree with his point, but Glenn, you dick. Please at least try to construct a valid argument, rather than just telling people to "screw themselves", as that helps nobody. I had a higher opinion of you, but that post has opened my eyes. I also feel telling people to "get off your high horse and drop the holier than thou attitude" is downright hypocricy, as you clearly place yourself above 90% of BTP's users.

Back to J's post: I think "we should treat every new account as a new user completly." is a great idea, its a shame you decided to blow it out of the water. Maybe the other UAdmins should think about that quote, it would make for a lot less bannings, and less unpleasentaries also

Banned users, 90%* being kyleness.
We bleeping gave him Chances! even when he admitted it Was him, such as, Foamy, Kyles(with punctuation of some kind). So, what use.
Im just F**(shift+F8 )ing tired of EXPLAINING why some users needed to be banned. Arguing is pointless in my state because no matter WHAT I SAY, someone will think im wrong and criticize it. (ive said that a thousand times today)
So, whats the point of being a Mod of a forum if you cant even mod it without everyone busting your ass about it?

So what your say is, pretty much theres no point having some members of BTP as user-admins.
That User-Admins should be scrapped completely?
