I type in www.google.gmail.com
shit...thats wrong

So i search on google for gmail

Guess what it comes up with first..Welcome to gmail *good!*

I look under that and this lil bit of information is there.

See what you guys think of it. Im still gonna carry on with my account.

Yep, I think Ill stick to my hotmail account. Gmail will be abused tho IMO.
I thought about something... Since Gmail allows 1 gig of space... and google reccomends not to delete emails... People might abuse it by hosting files. By that I mean sending an email to yourself with specific a specific file(s) and keeping it, then linking it to wherever you want.

You can not link the files tho. Or at least I think so.

The person who runs that site is the same person that runs http://www.google-watch.org/ . He got pissed off because his badly-designed, unpromoted site didn't get a very good PageRank, so now he hates Google.

this is as opposed to outlook express for example, where it take 2 clicks to put a message in the trash, and more effort to delete it....

Gmail do not peronsally identify your mail, the reason they dont want you to delete stuff is to they can build statistics on the types of mail people receive and use this for advertising purposes. And who wins in all this? well I win - cos i get a great email account. Google wins cos it makes lots of money selling advert space. And the advertisers win cos lost of ppl see their ads.

Those of you who use gmail, how often do you actually notice the ads?

never, cause they are often not even related to the bloody message.

I notice them, but they don't really bother me. And they're much better, then the hotmail ones, that are huge flashing banners.
