If you followed the story or watched the news perhaps you might know that this virus, along with many of the 'successful' ones today, are not out to harm the user's computer(s). They are programmed with a date at which they stop propagating and are meant to target one server and take it down. One of the latest is just a variant of another that was out a while back, so the method should be well known. The 'viruses' sound more like an attack towards one corporation or whomever, instead of writing a nasty letter or sueing.

Is that why most of these viruses can only infect Windows computers? I always wondered about that...

If they could program them to 'infect' unix and macintosh systems as well really easily, i doubt they would hesitate, but they're just out for a mass attack, yes, and windows is the easiest way for them to do that.

By 'making myself an admin' I meant that I was concerned about the site and was interested in helping it out, however that was possible. ReadMe offered the position, yes.

Hey i done many a things here, like um netscape compatable pixel flyer, duct taping the db back together, and writing a script to auto duct tape it! and random forum improvements, and random other things!

Even if all you did was improve the security for BlameThePixel, ... cant think of a good way to word this. Anyway more security is always good.
