My apologies if this has already been answered in another thread, but WWP is majorly screwed up on my computer. Here's what happened-
-Game screen got majorly discolored, and it only displayed discolored objects, no terrain.
-I uninstalled/reinstalled.
-Everything was fine for the first few games/days.
-Process repeats.
I don't wanna un/reinstall that much. Anything to fix it plz?

Close all programs. Close EVERYTHING. Kazaa happened to screw up my WWP when it was on.

Also make sure that your graphic drivers and direct X are updated (but you've been around here long enough you probably already know that...).

It may be because your cpu is low on memory or either you have too many programs downloaded. If so your best thing to do is try reformatting.

Actually, if the CPU is low on memory, all you have to do is restart the computer. And if there's not much room on the hard disk (which this shouldn't be a problem), just uninstall some programs you don't use anymore. Shame on you for telling someone to format a computer because they've run down on their storage capacity .

Well thats what happened to my cpu and I tried uninstalling alot of things and it still didn't work. So I had to reformat. Maybe I had too much stuff but I dunno...

hmm I had this problem yesterday, was fixed by a restart. Did you try restarting before playing again? heh

I dont know iff you find the solution and i dont have the time to read all the forums. Excuse my english, i dont speack wreally well but i only try to help here.
When i instaled windows vista on my PC the game WWP stoped working properly. The resolution becomed 16 colors and reverted. After long searces i find the problem and the problem is that in Windows Vista, a new object called Desktop Windows Manager consumes most colour-efficient resources providing people the 'Aero' effect.
In most games, the 'Aero' effect in Windows Explorer won't allow necessary resources to run the game. And for that i foud this "FIX". It worked for me and i am gladfool to his creator, and i want to share this with other WWP lovers.
