I just came back from Russia (as you probably know) and have installed Battlefield 1942 and The Road to Rome. One annyoing problem. You see, most people like a patched game. My game is only version 1.2 What is wrong with this you might ask. Well if I try and install 1.3 and 1.4 it ends up disabling my BattleField 1942 game. It doesn't say any error. When I click the icon I get the black screen and then it goes back to desktop and I hear an error message sound. But I see nothing. More info that might help: OS is XP Professional, I have ADSL, the CDs are from Russia but English version can be installed, current version is 1.2


Although one thing. Does the copyright thing extend to where you have bought a supposedly copied game in a country where Copyright isn't a rule and then you take it to a Copyright country. Is that Illegal or not?

I think copyright extends um... everywhere, so I would imagine it is still illegal.

thats because russia is full of alceys. if they hadnt been drinking vodka at the time it probebly would have been copywrited, but because of the man forgot to do it

Step 2: Install BF
Step 3: (DO NOT APPLY THE NO CD CRACK) DL standalone 1.4 patch and install it
Step 4: Download Desert Combat & Install cause it rocks (http://www.desertcombat.com)
Step 5: Get BF1942 1.4 fixed exe from http://www.gamecopyworld.com (i cant remember which one you need, just get ethe newest)
Step 6: Apply it
Step 7: Ask me for a working online CD-Key
Step 8: Wait
Step 9: Change your CD-Key
Step 10: Have Fun

very huge thanks but it is installed all in one go. any tip on how to install the game without NO CD CRACK? if you help ill donate 100 pounds. Helping only counts if i get my BF1942 game v1.4 to work.

One (no cd crack for updated versions of the game) is likely to come out eventually. Keep an eye peeled and an ear open.

What do you mean?
You dont need a no-cd to insall the game, only to play.

You simply dont play until after you upgrade to 1.4, then apply the 1.4 no-cd.

Have you got it working?

I know I have, using the methods I suggested. Oh, and, if one cd crack doesnt work, try the next. IIRC, there were like 3 on GCW's site and only one worked for me.

BTW, the correct method to get it working without a no-cd crack would be to make an alchohol 120% cd images (from the source cd, to late now that we have the bin cues), and load them out with deamon tools, like I do with my warcraft III cd ever since it stopped working.

i can play without CD, which means it has NO CD CRACK installed already. I'll try searching for an updated crack, but would it have to be from the same site/company that made the game. Or could it be any crack aslong as it was the onei needed? Also, it installs in 2 CDs. Still need help though.
