Tesco is one of the largest supermarket chains in the UK. It's slowing taking over retail sector by selling Laptops, Desktop PC's and now... Tesco Value software




Agreed, I can imagine this lasting around 3, maybe 4 weeks

Not that surprising really. In the same way that tesco do clothes, the actual work is done by another company for them to sell in stores, so there's nothing to say it will really do badly. Most people don't know that much about software, so if they can pick up a virus scanner in Tescos while doing their shopping then they probably will. It'll probably do the job fine and to the average tesco customer that's all that matters.

On the other hand a lot of home PCs do come bundled with half of this software anyway...
