I've been pondering on making this thread for a long time but zomg, it's here.

Which comedy will do y' go for? I see a 50% on both of them, but if just had to choose one. American. I don't have a huge opinion on English because I haven't seen to much of it. I've seen Benny Hill, and very little of Monty Python.

American comedy can fall sometimes under "stupid humor". Don't know what I mean? Try this or this. And English comedy, I ain't too good on explaining that.

I may be an idiot for saying this. But sometimes, the censorship can make things funnier, but only with some words. If someone specifcally says "A-hole" and all you hear is the A (A... Not ass) then it's fucking stupid. But when someone says fuck and you hear just the "F" I just find that too hilarious. But they put good movies on comedy central, and they censor the balls out of it, like Scary Movie 2 and Not Another Teen Movie, they ruined those movies. Why don't they just put those movies on the stash? When they do that to movies like Joe Dirt and Kingpin it's not so bad, but still...

As for the comedy bit, English comedy can go on for so long and still be funny, it travels a long road without dying. As for American, it's a bit harder, and you have to think up fresh stuff all the time. When I watch movies like 40-Year-Old-Virgin I just get blown away by the clever things they added in there. And it's more of American shows that die due to the "unfunniness" all the time. Like... Friends... Or the ever queer blowing "That 80's show!"

Another thing I hate is when a show (usually Amercian) comes out and it runs for so long, so many seasons and such, when the show just obviously isn't funny. It's like there not making jokes, it's like they say things and you hear random unneeded laughter from the audience because something directs them to laugh. Yet the show just lives on. Perfect example, the Chris Rock Show.
