Well, it came to my attention moments ago that Doom and Resident Evil weren't the only games to be adapted to film.
[they're maybe more, just can't be bothered to mention]

It seems now that the game Halo that most of you love will be adapted to the big screen.
If you want information on this Google it, theres lots of different sites saying lots of different things.

Post opinions below.

It actually might be good. The director is not Peter Jackson, so it will get alot of attention. It just depends what they base the movie on. The games, or the books. But who needs Halo the movie when you got RvB which is most likely 100 times better then the movie which is coming out in two years?

I for one can say that I hate halo, and i have for years, and i will say this as well.. It does not deserve to be a movie..

I said that when Resident Evil was released. I hate the game and always will.
But I have to say that the movies were pretty darn good.
and it involved a very fine female

Actually Peter Jackson isn't the director, he's the executive producer or somesuch... he said he wanted to be involved but didn't want to be incharge as he wants a rest from directing for a bit. A director hasn't been confirmed yet.

I don't really think the halo story (well, from the games.. actually I haven't read the books so I'm probably wrong), is right for a movie.

Personally, I think HL2 fits better as a film, just playing the game feels pretty movie-like.

Sod the Halo movie. Just show Red Vs Blue in the cinemas.

How about just showing a feature length episode of "Anger Gamer" in the cinemas instead?

Not only would it be funny, but it's Halo to boot!

This is gonna be difficult, because all the action on planet Reach would be about an hour n' half long (book = Halo: The Fall Of Reach). Theres the parts with the Spartan training, the suitups and stuff... then word gets out that a cargo ship gets destroyed by unknown sources, da daa daa (i forgot what else happened), then coveneant invades. (A religious alien army, reason for going after humans is because they think that humans are keeping them from gaining intelegence about their sacred rings [halo] and the forrunners)
Theres the battle in space, everything goes wrong cause somebody freaked out and pulled out too early...
Then theres the POA escape into subspace when all hell broke loose (covenant destroyed the super-MAC guns, last orbital defensive perimeters breached and Johns team gets completly split off.) Then when POA rests from subspace, they discover the ring (book = The Flood). Da da daa, land, fight, discover, FLOOD, escape, destroy, find a way to get back to earth (book = Halo: First strike) which prolly requires its own movie again

Methinks theres gonna be a movie for each book, as like somwhat of LoTr. Actually, that would be a good idea and shouldnt take as long since all the content/artists/modelers/etc. have already been chosen n' stuff

edit: Its about the books, not much about the game, the game just attempted what the books were telling. Halo2's campagin was a complete fuckoff, ignore that one
