Hye there.
I saw Star wars episode 3 Revenge of the sith at 9 this morning. Fist showing And id just like to say its the greatest film ever... in my opinion. Seriously guys you really want to watch this. Im not going to spoil for you.... but if any of you have seen it you can either wine at me saying its not good or you can say "OMG IT ROCKS"

P.S i love yoda

I've not seen ANY of the Star Wars films. Would I understand the things that happen in this episode?

Probably not. Although I haven't seen the film yet. (Just rent them or wait for them to be on TV, They're on like 3-4 times a year)

I'm planning to see the the film on the week-end sometime. I've heard it really good.

ah, well I saw it at 12:30 am today - also first showing unsurprisingly , mainly cause everyone else was going - I have seen all of them except episode II, but it didn't make a lot of difference not having seen it, I don't think.

I thought the film itself was pretty good, there were just a few dodgy lines that really didn't sound right in the film...

and the number of 'fanatic nerds who dress up' that I saw there was: 1. (no not me).

There was a member of staff in a complete darth vader suit tho before the showing, and the er.. wadjamyclallems that show you to your seat had lightsabers. Apart form that the turnout was surprisingly normal.

Well, I have also heard alot of good things about it over at some other forums. I intend to see it either this weekend or next weekend. The theaters that are carrying it around here are in big cities, so it depends if we can manage to get a ticket.

(Here's a hint: Thursday's and Friday's showings were sold out when we checked).

I thought 2 was miles better than 1, so presumably 3 will be better still

i thought three was pretty good but not much better than two, and i never saw one. going to have to watch that. watching three also makes me want to watch four five and six, which i only saw when i was really young so i dont remember any of them for the most part.

All my friends say its the best yet and I have to see it...

IMO, what really ruined the first 2, (Phantom and Clones) was Lucas's obsession with computerized special effects, which the movies could really have done without, I heard he doesn't use as much in the 3rd episode and that's one of the reasons it is so good.

well i think your wrong... i think they have used more special effects than ever....

^^yes, I think the dark side is in itself defined by being evil, so it's automatically the case. The extra powers that come with it can only be controlled by being dark side, or something..

We got ours on the afternoon before the showing (ie about 9 hours before it was on). Canterbury isn't exactly a hub of cinemas - there's a small Odeon with like 2 or 3 screens, and that's it in terms of normal cinema.
