Well this is good fun, and it's especially easy to rack up key presses for me since I just installed Visual C++.

Though, my Visual C++ is only crappy version 1.0. Oh well, at least the thing still had all the books that come with it, that'll be useful to use with Dev C++...

After extensive testing with my computer that is most definately slower than your computer, I can conclude that it doesn't slow down the computer very much if at all. The only thing slow about it is if you let it load up on boot, but that can easily be fixed with a visit to msconfig (or whatever it's called on XP).
The worst thing that's happened so far is that it skips about 2 bars whilst I'm on Stepmania, but that's because Stepmania takes almost all available resources anyway.
