of course you have xp, C1, we're talking about XP SP2 .
And worms works fine for me too, sounds like something wrong with your machine or operating system .

I don't know if my IE is more broken than usual, but it doesn't even seem to be sending the Accept header properly. When I visit http://bugs.rdmsoft.com/httpaccept.php it says:
Your accept header was: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, application/x-shockwave-flash, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/msword, */*
...without even mentioning that it prefers HTML to any random type. Worse, when I refresh the page it just sends */*.
(My workaround is to just check for the type you'd rather send to see if it's in the header at all, since XHTML browsers generally do things properly and sending as text/html by mistake won't do much harm.)
now thats just weird :/, could it be a strict-mode thing? The sniffer i use works fine, but i didnt write it an i've forgotten how it works in terms of failsafe.

Must be something wrong with your machine or operating system C1.
I have XP SP2 and everything works fine my end.
Runt. Think about this. How could my machine be blamed for the map loader not working? Perhaps I could blame my worms disc or the SP2, but not my computer.
I have XP.
I know you have XP C1, It's just that I'm looking at it from a technicians point of view (which I am )
Anyways, It does sound like it's you W:A install or CD itself.
I'd look into that really.

You have to uninstall W:A and then reinstall it after applying SP2. We've found that will usually fix any problem.

EXCACTLY
IE is the only one worth bothering about... other browsers really should just update :/ it isn't hard
Or maybe IE should update =/
I think IE updates too much really. IE should have the security of Mozilla, and the look of IE.
The perfect browser.

All web hosts should seriously make their users take a w3c standards test. This is like saying "well, I have a stoplight. But, my IEcar doesnt understand stoplights, only stop signs. When I have a stoplight, my IEcar instead speeds straight through the intersection. However, every other car (like FXcar, OPERAcar, LYNXcar, etc.) behaves correctly, and stopsigns were outdated last century (since stoplights have a critical new feature: the 'slow down' yellow light and the green turning light). So those stupid IEcars are costing the people of this town twice the amount of tax that goes into street services, so _everyone_ (even FXcar drivers) are paying for those stupid fools who drive IEcars! And then you have the argument that 'ok then, lets just use stopsigns.' but then everyone else loses the newer traffic features, such as yellow lights and turning arrows. should the streets be kept more dangerous, just because one model of car doesnt know what a red stoplight means? of course not. And that is why the IEcars of the world must crash and burn (and yet even though they do them a lot, the damn drivers just keep buying the same model...)
