He didnt do any of the hardcore hacking. I dont think he needs to be banned, espeically if he hasnt done anything bad before.

If they really wanted to, they could have done much worse things to BTP, such as killing the db. I'd say (though my opinion is moot), that as long as YBY doesn't play with fire again and shows he's sorry for what he's done, he should be allowed to stay.

erm, it was easier to ask him when he was in an msn convo than find his IP (which we have no record of, unless that JoE account is him - I don't know if it is without doing a lookup) and put it into a whois search.

I do tend to overreact to this kinda stuff.
Only because I have been hacked, my personal PC i mean.

I bailed on the hacker scene a while back, Only cuz a good friend talked me out of it. He told me "you reap what you sow" and he was right. Till this day he reminds me of it. But all in all, i'm not sorry i gave it all up.

Its far more fun to make the worms animations and play games, then to spend hours in telnet, or whattever other program you can possably imagine. and acheve nothing except satisfaction that ytou did something illegal.

I've used FXP as a was to use other people's FTP server's as a personal storage for my warez. And again, I have done nothing constructive.

Today, im sensitive to it, only because ive been there. There is nothing to gain from hacking. Its pointless. You're (usually) going to get cought. And there will always be helll to pay in the end.

I will say that at least nothing seriously bad happened. No one messed with the DB, And a kyle was apparently banned. lol.

The fact remains that its wrong, and I advise SargeTron, YBY, and anyone else that was involved to find something more constructive to do with your time. You'll find the rewards far outstand that of illegallities..

oh yeah, one last thing i would like to say which isn't really about this but is was kinda a hack to my .net passport...

I really need to change my net password but some group of hackers called myg0t got into my account and changed my password... and the secret question and answer to...

EDIT for Knifa: you shouldn't have that proxy in your website, that is how i got into BTP without people knowing my IP... so if i were you, get rid of it or find a better place to put it
