No, because it's up to the publisher, not Team17, for what gets made and what doesn't. Thus the reason a GameCube release of WF:US was scratched.

Let me put it this way.
Do you remember 'Pandemonium' (sp?) on the PS1?
Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project is like that. That is the design that Worms would look good as.
Did that make any sense?
I didn't play that game either. Show me a screen shot of these games..

Oh, that'd be cool then. One question though, how would you control a whole fleet of worms in real-time?

Good question. The best answer is probably that you wouldn't. If we wanted to control fleets of things at once we probably wouldn't be playing worms in the first place. Though having a team of worms would work fine in non-deathmatch games like rope races and battle races, because if one worm dies or gets stuck or you just want to use a different worm for some reason, you could switch between them. Maybe it would be cool if you had different worms that could do different things, and they had to work together in complicated missions.

I suppose that's one "good" thing about my degree (aero engineering), there aren't too many terms/words/etc that have "alternative" meanings.
What, like cockpits, turboshafts, thrust, nozzles, corkscrews, ram drag, payload, flaps, and wind tunnels? |

Wow! That would be so cool to play. It'll be like Sonic Heros. They all follow you, and you can switch between players.
Each player having it's own ability, and, combining the whole team for one big ability.

Yeah, and you could tag off worms or something. And if one worm died, another one of your team mates would replace him..

And the ability to switch from 3rd-to-1st person! Worms 3D shows that this is in fact possible. They'd have to finetune it of course... here we go, let's make it so ludicrous that it'd be impossible to make for 16 years!

3d ropes DOES work..
I.E.. Spoiler (Click to Expand)
Look at spider man for PSX / PS2
T17 just used the wrong engine. The W3d engine is based so heavily on gravity and trajectory that they did not account for what would be needed to keep a worm afloat.
The sad part is most of the code is already there.
Te basic Bazooka uses:

Gravity

Inertia

Velocity

Trajectory

resistance
all are variables involved for shooting a zook.. as well as having a worm rope. A ceiling wold help to,
Id like to see some one dragon in 3d

Well the fact that you can't create maps doesn't help either for Worms 3d

And the fact that the map editor has existed for months (I think a year now) and still hasn't been released REALLY doesn't help.
