Might I suggest Supanet.
I pay £22.96 a month for a 1mb connection.
Hows that? Good me thinks.
You get a free modem and software, 2 filters and you are connected within a few days of leaving your old ISP
Edit: Candy Man reminded me of download limits. Supanet 1mb has no download limit.
Aaah, but it does say "*Subject to strict enforcement of copyright law on peer to peer traffic".
Is that anything out of the normal?

Right....i hera you all saying BT is shit and has limits.....
but it doesnt....
I have bt broadband, i pay 17 pound a month and its 576.0 kbps
I HAVE NO DOWNLOAD LIMIT
but.....
Bt are introducing a 15gig bandwidth limit in January....but for and extra 2 pound (so thats 19 a month).... you get a 1megabit 30 gig limit a month....
so yeah...get BT....before january
30gb wouldn't last long with a 1mbps connection.

No. You'll get 512 max, maybe 1 meg if you're lucky. We'll never get 4meg lines
also, the person with £17.99 bt broadband does wave a bandwidth limit, its 5Gb/month. I know, I phoned and asked.

I have BT 1mb and a 30 gig data limit, and I download/upload A LOT and I havnt had any letters saying I'm using too much bandwidth.
Edit: I tend to forget i have a data limit.

at the moment on the BT site, there is not aany strict enforcement of the transfer limit.
this will come into play later next year.
--------
Does anyone here have experience with wireless networking?
Since this is my xmas pressie. Its proving a bt of a problem. So many numbers and products and other thingies.
One computer will be taking the broadband. And i want full access to it from my comp. It has ot be wireless. Would i be better off with the box, and the other comp taking the netowrk card?
At some point there will be a third comp added. I presume id just need an extra card for it? ( those arial things )

What you'll need is a wireless ADSL broadband router, the ADSL plugs into this and then the router attaches to all the computers, either via WiFi card or via cable if you get one that supports both.

Get a D Link DSL-604 +
This is plugged into my computer and my step dad uses a WiFi card on his laptop, also my xbox is plugged into it..l. Never had any problems - apart from the msn sending/recieving files thing where the router just stops responding :/

He lives in the UK. DSLExtreme isn't going to help him any, since they only provide in the US...
