I don't see what's bad in this situation. Even if Skater is The Pixel, and has a few dozens of accounts, it doesn't really matter. While he is using only one account at a time and doesn't spam or annoy the hell out of users in any other ways, he has the same rights as any normal member, and should be treated like one. I have yet to see him do anything bad apart from demanding the mods to close threads regarding The Pixel and his multi-accounts, but that is quite normal considering the situation he currently is in.

It's not about whether he should be banned or not (right now I don't really care, like you said he isn't doing much right now). It's the question about whether he is the same person.

You know i could make a big deal about mutipul accounts if i wanted to, but i choose not to because i think its just stupid, so what if mutipul accounts aren't allowed? honestly, which one of you really really gives 2 fucks about whether someone signs up for more then 1 account? even if he stopped using his 2nd account. Besides, theres really no point in making mutipul accounts unless alot of people just rate you down for no reason, or you get banned for no reason.

i care, and so should you if you felt the way i do and proberley many others about btp.

VisioN, can you tell me exactly why you care that someone else has mutipul accounts?

And what about RunT? i bet he just made this thread to taddle on tha pixel to get him banned, and i dont think he really cares about multipul accounts anyway. Hes just doing this is piss us off.

I will tell you why I care about multiple accounts. It's because the vast amount of multiple accounts are caused by people that have already been banned and are signing up again to piss people off (as in the case of RnRxSSTxLdr, or because the person wants to spam in the first place (as in the case of The Pixel). Because oe people like them, multiple accounts are not allowed. Rules are NOT meant to be broken, and if we make concessions because little Jimmy made a mistake and accidentally signed up with a name similar to a user that everyone hates with a passion, then we have to do it for everyone. Which means that we come back to square one with the pricks and the spammers. Personally, I like my forums spam free.
Also, in the case that a user genuinly stops using an account in favor of a new one, the temptation is there to take advantage of the previous one. It's an especially hard temptation here, because they can take advantage that money can be donated freely between accounts. And don't give me any bull about money not mattering, there are now the auctions and premium options to use money on. And since some people are either too lazy or impatient to get up their money naturally, they take advantage of how donations work and the fact that they can usually get away with multiple accounts for at least 8 hours (and you can rack up alot of money with just refreshes in those 8 hours).
Think of it this way, it's the lesser of two evils.



Personally, I applaud him for taking an inititave on a potentially bad account (considering the circumstances of accounts being made once every 24 hours by the same person), though he did it in the wrong area (this should go in IP shame). We've been pointing out these multiple accounts from various sources for a good two months now.

BTW, next person to use the word "taddle" in a derogatory manner to denote someone that has told the community (or specific people) about a problem (or potential problem) with a user (or anything else for the matter), be warned. I will PERSONALLY bust you like a piñata. Do I make myself clear?

Just to elaborate on Glenn's post, users with multiple accounts, often do it in order to abuse the rating system...

Didn't anyone read my big post about what to do if you suspect someone has got multiple accounts? I assume they did as ppl have been messaging me via MSN to sort things out when pixel boy goes and makes about 60 threads all saying 'SPAM'

Anyway, this thread should never have existed, but I've been busy and didnt see it. If you suspect somone of having multiple accounts then please PM a member of staff or contact via email/IM posting the the forums is not a good idea - especially when your accusations turn out to be wrong.
