Possibly the best trick i've seen for mozilla browsers in a while. Searching just got about 5 times faster

hmm nothing new really. I can do that on IE and Opera...
When I typed "google fun" in IE, I came to the MSN search searching "google fun".

Opera already has a built-in toolbar with most popular search engines. You can add custom ones aswell

yeah, so does firefox, but i'm used to selecting the address bar and i find this quicker - I never said it was revolutionary, just that it was useful

I've been using a few for quite a while...
da - http://%s.deviantart.com/
sf - http://%s.sourceforge.net/
sfp - http://sourceforge.net/projects/%s/
whois - http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=%s
rdns - http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ptr.ch?ip=%s
Okay, they're pretty nerdy, but so what?
A little pref trick I like is:
browser.tabs.opentabfor.searchbar_always = true
so that all searches open in new tabs. Dragging text from the page to the search box also works.
