Actually, i clicked it to not handle any format. In fact, even when i deleted quicktime firefox still wanted to use quicktime to handle swfs.

CB....you seem to know Firefox pretty well...you have any more ideas about how to get it to scroll? it is on my laptop...it's an IBM so it uses that red dot for the mouse.....and a long button underneath the left and right clicks to scroll (you hold it down).....i'd already downloaded and played around with "all in one gestures" "mouse gestures" and another one....i can't remember itlol

if someone could figure this out....i will absolutely love mozilla....but right now because of the annoyance of being unable to scroll it is keeping me from liking it as much as everyone else....

thanks :)

or if ur on winXP you should be able to do remote assistance anyway.

BTW CB, whats the diff between realVNC and tightVNC?

Funnily enough, when i install mouse drivers my scroll wheel stops working, if i use the generic windows drivers it works great in everything, and i can ever use it to zoom in PSP...:?

Remote assistance never works!

The only time I got it working, was when I did it from one PC on the network to another.

Remote Assistance is a winXP thing to allow someone else to control your computer remotely.
I had it working fine, although it slowed down my computer like crazy... much moreso than NetMeeting. Do you have a firewall blocking it, duck?

VNC is a protocol. I forget who exactly invented it, but their version is "WinVNC" for windows.

THey opensourced the project awhile ago, and as such there are many distributions of it. Most are compatable, and some add special features applicable only to that distro.

TIghtVNC, TridiaVNC, RealVNC, etc are all just diffrent implementations fo the protocol.

Reasons I like TightVNC: built in java viewer so I can use IE to control (from school). 'Tight' protocol (less bandwidth). Auto-lock computer. (in viewer) Scaling mode. It doesnt crash. It works. It has an intuitive advanced interface.

PS: I'm not on Win XP. I'm on 2k.
