no-one really knows what happened there. but its most likely that the americans did it themselves to get the american public on their side for the "war on terror" which is just for getting a big chunk of land for themselves. look on an atlas. look at Afghanistan and Iraq. Iran is next. put those 3 together and they've already doubled america. and once they get a little more they'll control the world. i mean, they'll have about half the land in the world and the 1st/2nd strongest forces in the world. the only ppl they're still afraid of is the russians. and im not sure they're in any hurry to bomb america.

yeah right thor, the americans are grabbing land in the middle east for territory, they dont need it, america has loads of room as it is, and they like having 'splendid isloation' which was the british term for it. I greatly doubt that millions of americans are going to emigrate into a recently liberated Iraq.

To retain control of Iraq, which they cnnot possibly do without facing a massive backlash from the rest of the world, they would need to reatin an occupying force. The only reasonable way to do this for any repectable length of time, is to move a whole load of soldiers and politicians into th country, just like the british did when they were building an empire - palaces all over the place.
