how do i set up firebird to keep this from happening on my school network?

before just being on firebird prevented this from happening but they got a really strict filter now. does any one know how to get around it? thanks.

Well I don't know how to get rid of it but i can say that your school has banned the site but i think you already knew that right?

Thats it opti you can't get into it unless you go into the school system and disable it but it's realy risky me and my mates did it and got onto miniclips becouse we did'nt know any other way... sry optissimus but thats the only was i know.
[edit] at my school firbirds are outomaticly taken away somhow...

we all have our own laptops so theres no way they can uninstall firebird...

Firebird is better than IE.
Heh, we have miniclips.com avaliable.
Try setting "Trusted Site" for miniclip.com

I can't it is the servers choice anyway me and some of my mates went on a daring mission to the server room and disabled it XD

If you have ur own laptops, it should work since they can't disable it on there. I think.

how about downloading opera thats what i did at school, because the majority of schools use a proxy to connect to the internet, but this proxy has a filter built into it, and IE is probably set up to go thru the proxy but if you download opera it should bypass the proxy going thru the default ports (80, 8080) and connect you to the internet.

it depends on the set-up, I'd imagine. I don't know much about the set up, but it may be that the entire internet er.. thingy, is checking every page that comes through, so using a lap top won't make any difference if it uses the school internet server. The homepage says that it's not a proxy as such... hmm, maybe there'll be some useful info on the page about how it works

post back if it works on your school network dude.
oh btw if they have disabled the cd drive all you do is at home cr8 a shortcut of your cd drive then copy that shortcut onto a floppy disk and take it into school then copy opera onto cd from your house of course put the cd in run the shortcut from the floppy and install opera, becoz normally the school will have disabled downloads and stuff.
