this is regarding the poll on the home page aout completely removing money.

Now i think that you shouldnt remove the moeny ( althugh i voted yes )

this is because the reason that the moeny is mucked up is because of the obscene amounts available through the poker game.

If you could reset the money to ZERO! for every user then sell ALL the houses. Then actually we could get somewhere with the greatness that is a fun money system.

This would allow frequent users to establish a house with not so frequent users living in the house. Or people bunching up to form a communitive house ( like a clan living under one roof for example )

Now heres my suggestions as to how you could do this.

1. DISABLE/REMOVE POKER
2. SELL EVERY HOUSE AND BOOT ALL TENNETS
3. RESET CASH TO ZERO FOR ALL USERS OF BTP
4. CHANGE POKER TO UNAFFECT MONEY
5. RE-ACTIVATE POKER
6. WATCH AS THE COMMUNITY GROWS
7. BE HAPPY AND HAVE MUCH REJOICING!

now im sorry to all those with thier little collection of poker winnings and those who have large money hoards and are donating money to all but think how great it was before there were those who gambled and gambled and gambled and had lots of cash growing exponentially. And those who didnt gamble and now moan constantly about being poor.

in voting in the poll i want you to vote seriously (i.e not im rich and i want to stay rich, but actually qwouldnt it be good if i owned a house and others didnt, and thy paid rent THEN i get rich slowly )

as for poker do my idea about having a highscore and reward people with a fixed prize for being the highest for the month

or poker could be vs other members of btp and maby have more card games like bridge

but C1's idea is a good idea

o yeah that would be awesome. if you played other btp people there would be no net income and it would be mush more fun. you would probably have to re write the whole game then eh?

hmm the only time i've played poker i quit with much less money than when i started am i the only one? lol i think it would be cool to play with other people (poker, etc.) on BTP!

i still think that we should just get rid of money becouse that thing u said the ppl what do that stuff don't any more like i was reading old threads befor and there was about food and things ppl and admins said yes (not on the food though) and it never came

well u would really have to rewrite the whole game. For poker all u'd have to add was the old version..the one not revolving on real btp but just like the one at readme's site. So u start with 20 poker chips. And when ur done playing for that time u submit ur score and it goes into the score board. So the longer u play during 1 period of time the higher ur score is. (if what i said didnt make sense tell me)

ok, well since i've writtenblackjack i've redone a lot of the poker code and when i get around to polishing them both off i'll implement a highscores system that works on the basis of at some point you syaing "stop now - this is my score" i'll then divide this by the time to give a score - so the longer you take to get money, the less you score.

Once i've added this to my site, i'll try and add a version to BTP.

What's the time measured in? If it's seconds/minutes it'll put brodband users at an advantage. Should be clicks IMO.

I was gonna do end time - start time, but thats a good point - i'll do it on number of hands instead.

na. I don't rightly like the money idea because if you played real poker, ur score wouldnt decrease as u played (unless u lost) so i dont think it should be like that here. Also you should encourge people to go on btp for a long period of time. Not hurry up a game so it's done quick. Plus it's easier to code the score board without time.

but the point is thats it's much harder to get a big score quickly, as you only have small stakes. So you should be rewarded for getting money faster.
