basically i would very much appreciate a hide users avatar option. this is becoz i lack broadband and thus the capabilty to scroll smoothly down the screen while a hundred animations are going on!

i try to hie sigs with animations but the ever increasing number of avatars is killing my net!

yes i have an animated one but then again i cant hide anyones avatar!

sometimes we forget how crappy some people's computers still are. first of all, if and when you can, you probably oughtta think about getting a new computer or the such.

I was reading a thread a bit ago and I noticed that everyone's small ass posts took up a large amount of space because they'd specify every clan they were in, put a long ass 'mood', etc., and then they'd have a 100x100 avatar.

So I agree that this should be an option. I probably wouldn't use it, but I think it should be an option.

Out of interest, whose avatars would you hide?

lol cant hind mine! I don't have one. I never got around to making one for this forum...and i couldnt think of an image that would suit me...perhaps someday ill think of an idea..

its my net connection thats unbearably slow. my computers great i bought it THIS year ands its already been upgraded.

i guess i would hide a few of the animated ones. and some of the ones that alternate. I have to hide ure sig C1 cos the one with the movin torch kills the rate at wich these pages load

I was thinking about this last night at our schools open evening when I was at btp on the rubbishy 600*800 res. Guess there could just be an option in your profile for "simple mode" which removes some of the details from everyones bit at the side, or do one for individual users. hmm... which one, that is the question...

how's taht? u have ur sigs and stuff animated and i have just 1 up and u hide my sig. Pff

its the one with the flashlight moving to reveal the C1 that my modem explodes trying to load up
