First of all, meh! Now lets get down to the problem. My friend a.k.a squelchymcphee has fucked up my start programs list on the start bar. There are now only a few listed programs in the programs list. I have plenty of shortcuts on my desktop which arent mentioned in the programs list but still work even though i can't seem to find it on the programs list. Any help plz? Please? I pay 100 if ya help me and i get my program sback on the list.

Erm, try this.
 Right click the Start Button.
 Choose Open.
 Double Click Programs.
Drag the icons that are in the wrong place from the Desktop into this window.
If that made no sense, post a screenshot.

the problem is that i did have them there up until my friend touched my PC and now there aren't as many programs there. It's not a matter abut shortcuts, about 3/4 of my program files have now gone and im only left with jsut a few things. The method u told me will not restore the programs. How would ido rollback? heard of it but never found it and does it save a file of ur state of teh computer each automatically.

ME and XP have System Restore, bit drastic but it might work. Otherwise, get making those shortcuts again manually.
Just had a thought - he might have moved the shortcuts - try searching and checking the Recycle Bin.

system restore is pretty bad idea. best to check how much space u have dedicated to it first pope. If its not alot i guess u wont get much above xp bare essesntials back.

It didn't mess up mine. Just don't get Service Packs and don't report errors.
