miles is using windows default drivers?

so i think this computer is a beast i just wnat to know why this is happening

is there a file i can modify to fix this or can i download something or would there be a setting tht may have been changed

i updated everything on this computer but crash crash crash in a higher res over 800 x 600

btw, about your problem, can you give more details? You said: you played with higher resolution last year, and now since 8 days if the game is more then 800 x 600 it crashes.
Did you tried 1024 x 768? Or try to set WA.exe priority into a single processor via Windows Task Manager. (CTRL+ALT+DEL\Task Manager\Processes\ Right-click on WA.exe, hover into "Set Affinity", and use a single processor. As I know you can do that with a dual-core. I'm not sure if a quad-core works too.) Sometimes WA crashes cuz the PC is too fast. ridiculous, but true.

i used to always play the game with 1024 x 768 ressolution but now it crashes in all res but 800 x 600 ohh and the "set affinity" didint work unfortunitly man it seemed like it would but i tryed it with 3 CPUs and 2 to 1 CPUs but it just crashed

And, I saw then "set affinity" works only on dual-cores >_<. Can you send a complete configuration of your PC (registry, graphic settings and machine ID)? With screenshots, it would be better. If you don't know where, check on your BIOS (normally it's F1, F2 or Del into boot screen. it depends of the machine). Why? If I have more information about your machine, maybe I'll be able to help you a bit more. My brother repairs computers. Maybe he saw that problem and be able to help you.

That's maybe why: Vista. Windows Vista SUCKS. Period. Were you playing in Vista last year? Is AERO skin disabled? Normally it fuxes the game. Also, due to DX10, WA works with an emulation of DX9 by Vista. I'm not sure if it's that, but I read something like that somewhere and I don't remember where.. Try to disable AERO, if it's enabled (put Windows Classic skin). Try to update your graphic card driver (check on NVidia Website).

Vista+aero on WA worked fine here.

and i play it on my laptop to which is XP monitor cracked tho but i robbed my dads monitor and pluged it in to make it work 2 months after it brock
