It's been 11 years since I last saw this movie. I honestly didn't remember too much from 11 years ago, just how the ending theme song was the best song EVER. I did watch it multiple times, but only twice, and all I remember was the Dinobots, just because they're funny. Also when I tried to rent it from Blockbuster 11 years ago, the cashier person wouldn't let me rent it without my parents permission because Spike said "Oh shit!" somewhere in the movie.
This movie takes place two years before the live action movie takes place. There were hovering skateboards, but no flying cars. More space travel was involved. It was a dark movie. Very dark compared to the live action movie. You literally feel like there is no hope for the Autobots because they always end up on the losing side. The Autobots also seem to have bad aim. In the beginning battle of the movie, when the Decepticons are battling some Autobots on a ship, the Decepticons shots always hit an Autobot, but when an Autobot fired, they never hit ANYTHING. Honestly, the Decepticons tactics were more of a result of teamwork, while for the Autobots, their victory was pure luck. Not very normal.

I was really upset when Optimus Prime died. He seemed to be the kind of guy who is INVINCIBLE. But then if I knew that before watching the 2007 movie, there would be a hell lot more suspense where he talks about sacrificing his life, because if he was killed off in the 1986 movie, why can't he be killed off in the live action movie too? But what really annoyed me was when Ultra Magnus was blown to pieces, and then he gets repaired and comes back to life. Optimus Prime receives "fatal wounds" (which didn't look as bad as Magnus being blown to pieces) and dies FOREVER.
