Well, I have returned to W:A....
I find out I cannot host.... no matter what I try...
I try to post comments or upload maps to WMBD.org, but I cannot anymore already. Again, I've tryed everything to fix the solution...... I got to upload 2 maps and then bam, the site is rendered usless to me. It says I have uploaded, when I had not, and my posts just don't show up.
Is it just me or does anything Worm related just hates me?
I can never catch a break....
I am starting to miss my dial up days.....

Hi,
i sugest you have a ADSL connection and a router.
In that case it's not enough to just open the w:A ports when you want to host. You also have to forward them on the ipadress from your pc behind the router and have to add the internet ip adress your lan has in the internet to W:A in the connection menu.
this was a very short description, i hope it helped.

Why does W:A hate me??
Because you're an Edmontonian.

Do you tried to host games with Port 80? You can set this in the network configuration of W:A

Have you tried it Pac-Man? I would find it amusing if that actually worked!

Yep! It helps me! Forwarding port 80 and using port 80 makes me able to host. Forwarding and using any other port won't help me. Only that webserver-port.

The funny thing is, other computers at your house need port 80 or they won't be able to use the Internet, but they only need outgoing connections, so forwarding port 80 shouldn't affect anyone else in your house.

port 80 does not help FYI, satalite internet is wierd. It seems my IP only comes from my router, I have no fixed IP.

Did you forward port 80 to your machine (192.168.1.100 or whatever) and set the port as 80 in WA wormnet configuration as well?
Also, you will always get 2 IPs: one that comes from your router and applies to your computer (192.168.1.100), and one that comes from your ISP and applies to the external side of your router.
