Hi all. I have here a yet unfinished version of my coloured Pixel factory. I have worked hard on this, and now I'd like to get some suggestions before I finish and publish it. It's partially related to this site so... prolly it would be best if I listened to what you have to say. Here it is:

For EvilWeewil, the map is here:

Thanks. I will make holes to the ceilin and some hides, of course.
Edit: Oh by the way, if anyone knows the best way to make colour maps work in W:A, now would be a good time to tell me. Thank you.

Woo, I knew that. But what kind of .png? If I save maps as png into Savedlevels and try to play it, it says Invalid color pallette or something similar.

i make mine with photoshop. if you have photoshop just make the map like normal then when you want to save it, make it an indexed image and choose 96 colors and save it as a png.

Max of 96 colors, but its smart to use 64 colors to reduce the risk of gradient discoloration.

Well, the gradient bug has been fixed for a long time, so using 96 colours is fine. You can actually use a bit more than 96 colours now, but you lose some details like the soil.
Nice map, Peltzi. The middle area of your map is quite large, so I would suggest putting a small object right in the middle of your map, as it would be handy for attaching the rope to. It's your choice though.

Thanks for the link Pel, but this image worked. This site is just messed up for me. It's probably my browser, so maybe I'll get Firefox or something, as the majority view is that IE sucks (which I can now see it does).
Right, stay on topic...good map there. I agree with Bloop, something small in the middle would be nice. Or just keep those big blue words.

Yes, you're completely right. I screwed up my first turn on it because of that infinite emptyness.
Thanks for tips and info. I will still listen to new ones though.

Newer version uploaded, it's in the first post in this thread. I will still make holes to the roof, raise the middle something on the right, adding the BTP URL on the left and add some nice pixels.

Thanks, Evil.
By the way, that version is playable, if someone didn't notice/is interested.
It has 112 colours.

It's ever so tempting to delete my previous post so that you have four in a row.
Plays very well as a bmp in WWP (plays well as a bit too, but very ugly). A job well done.
