the writing is HORRIBLE, the fight scenes are closer to dance sequences than fights, the entirety of the movie is either non-sensical or impossible (even considering the sci-fi stuff). while the acting is good, and the visual effects are passable enough, the fact that it was written by someone with the wit and intellect of a 2 week old labotomized gerbil takes so much away from the movie that it's only good for a good laugh.

About the Flaming Sword fight...
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
She only had ultra sensitive hearing when it was either bright, or slightly bright. Not in complete darkness. Which is why Dax covered the windows in steel so the room went completly dark.
Catching the swords on fire allowed her to have her ultra sensitive hearing back (bringing some form of light back into the room), being able to make her move and dodge the sword, and kill Dax.
Hows that?

sensible explanation, but I meant for yuo to explain HOW the swords were on fire...:p I figured out why easily enough, it's the how that confuses me...

Ah, touché.
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
Well, it could be something to do with medallions she has on her belt and bike that make her defie the laws of gravity. Because it shows a sort of fireball inside the center when she uses it.

well, good attempt, but:
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
the anti-grav thing is activated through her belt, and is an anti-gravity generator, nothing else. the fireball is some form of a miniature star from the look of it, and it would apparently be harnessed for its gravity in some way that would make sense in this movie. and regardless, they would've made a point to show that she activated something if that was indeed the case. instead, the swords just caught fire for no reason

Incorrect, the sword didn't make contact with the floor during that scene when it ignited.

well regardless, last I checked steel doesn't ignite when run across concrete. spark? yes. burst into flames? no.

Heck, the girl has pocket dimensions, dynamically changing hair, a huge gun appearing from up her sleeve that seems to morph into anything she wants, huge blades coming up from the same sleeves that shrink back to itsy bitsy sizes again, and the flaming swords are the only thing bothering you?
