no idea if any of you still remember this, but for the past few years I've been slowly working on ideas of various sorts for a game I intend to see made once I get to college (I intend to pitch this to other people there and see what we can do with it.). whether you believe this idea'll work or not is entirely irrelevant and I'd rather not get opinions on the plan. what I DO want opinions on is the basic history that I've written up for it. it's basically a back story to get things rolling, so to speak. there will of course be much more over time, but for now I'm just looking at the basics.
anyway, lemme know what you guys think of this:
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
When the universe began there were 9 gods. 3 gods of good, 3 gods of neutrality, and 3 gods of darkness. The gods forged the worlds, and populated them with races of their own design. Each god was given equal control over the aspects of the worlds over which they ruled. The gods ruled for eons in harmony until Sekroth, God of Darkness, saw within himself the capacity to bend the universe to his will and his will alone. Sekroth set forward on his quest to bring himself to power beyond that of any of the other gods by creating a gem of dark power said to be able to crush a world with a mere word of command. Sekroth used the power of this gem to further his own to a point that the other gods were force to strike back at him for his ambition. A mighty war was waged in the heavens with no one god laying claim to victory over any other god. Sekroth, realizing that he could not hope to succeed in his plans with the power at his disposal, went down onto the mortal plane to lay in hiding while he built up his power. The gods waited for many eons, watching the mortals prosper all the while waiting until Sekroth rose from his hiding place in an attempt to enact his will upon the universe. In an attempt to throw the other gods into disarray, Sekroth used the power of his dark gem to, rather than destroy one world, sunder all the worlds into millions of planes of existance on which Sekroth's own dark plans could take hold one plane at a time. Unable to find out exactly where Sekroth was hiding on their own, the other gods bestowed the mortals the gift of powerful magicks with which to battle the forces of Sekroth. Many wars were waged among the mortals in an attempt to overthrow the dark powers, but no one side has been able to gain a distinct control over the universe, though many individual planes have fallen to one faction or the other. Sekroth, in an attempt to throw the tides of the war in his favor, summoned many great beasts to fight in his name, including one on which Sekroth bestowed power nearly equal to his own. This great titan, Dalraxxis, used his power to destroy one of the sundered realms on which the gods of light laid claim. Infuriated, Arlith, Queen of Light, bestowed upon her greatest warrior the power to destroy Dalraxxis and restore the broken realm. This champion, Kitari, forged seven great swords with the power to challenge Dalraxxis and gave these swords to his most trusted companions. These acolytes of Kitari faced Dalraxxis and proved equal in power to the titan. In order to finally defeat the great titan, Kitari gave his own blood to each of the acolytes to bestow upon their weapons and upon the shattered lands which Dalraxxis destroyed. Combined with the blood, each of the weapons took on a completely new aspect and sent forth enough power to bind Dalraxxis in a permenant tomb on the lands he himself destroyed, leaving unable to move from that spot for the rest of eternity. The acolytes then drew upon the magic given to them by the gods and placed their weapons in a circle of binding around Dalraxxis to further strengthen the hold on the great beast so that not even Sekroth could unbind his loyal champion. The acolytes also took it upon themselves to see to it personally that the binds were never removed, and as such each acolyte took up a place near his or her weapon and have stayed on the holy grounds to continue their mission for the rest of eternity. Sekroth, being too weak after the creation of Dalraxxis, went back into hiding to build up his energy until he can personally ensure that his plans come to fruition. Battles continue to rage upon mortal grounds as the followers of the various gods clash over their beliefs, but the gods themselves remain in peaceful waiting until the day that Sekroth once again tries to usurp their power.
and I appologize for the formatting of it, but it didn't copy over from the way I had it on wordpad, and I don't intend to go back and add in every paragraph's indention and such.
