Wii is the official name for Nintento's next gen console, code named Revoloution. It's pronounced "Weeeeeeee!"

i think nintendo is freaking crazy. OMG - who names a console "Wii". I gotta congratulate nintendo on this one because now they are naming video games after sounds we make when we ride roller coasters.

On a second note. Nintendo is my most trusted corporation out their and Ill support anything they do. Yes, even name a console "Wii"

after reading a few arcticles on that site, a few more concerns arise besides the name... i'm worried about is looking like an idiot when playing games now. it says for some games, you'll have to shake the controller and other stuff. like i dunno, i think it'll just look weird. But i still think i wanna get one at one point, it seems to be cross compatible with the gamecube and ive been hear a lot about "virtual downloads" which i suppose means u can download old games to your wii. Thats a major reason for me to get the Wii, cuz that means i could get rid of my gamecube (replaced with wii), my n64 AND my super nintendo, which i only use to play super mario RPG. so i could just get rid of all those and get the Wii!

I think they did it before E3 so people can get over the strange name and get the jokes out of the way. And start focusing on the cool things like red steel.

dude. Pokemon on the Wii will be so awesome. You'll throw the controller on the ground and you would all be like "CHARIZARD! GO!" and then charizard will appear on the screen and then you would yell "CHARIZARD, FLAMETHROWER ATTACK!" and then Charizard would use Flamethrower

Things to do on the Wii:
Virtual drums. THese will probably be the cheapest electronic drums ever. Though it'll probably be quite difficult with ther being no recoil.

Tennis/rounders/baseball/softball/any game with a bat really.

Light saber fights against your friends. w00t.

FPS games! I wonder what Spider-Man 3 will be like on it.
