Hi

I have got worms world party.

I want to be able to host a internet game so my house mate and my friend at a different house can connect to my hosted game on the wormsnet.

I can host and they can all see it, but it tries to connect to the LAN ip address e.g. 192.168.111.5 instead of my internet address e.g. 80.22.111.3

So it times out and doesn’t connect.

We have a netgear router. I assume it’s a problem with NATting? Is there a way we can get round it?

Do you have any ideas what we can do?

WWP fails at hosting
I have a netgear router myself, although it really doesnt matter which kind...
I forwarded the proper ports and used the WWP Launch (wwp force ip utility thingy) and it still fails for them to connect.
Best chance is to just get W:A since all you have to do there is forward a couple ports, put in your IP in IP address on network config, then tick Force IP, then boom

WWP does not fail at hosting.

I think you guys need to rephrase the wording "Fail" and "WWP Hosting" in the same sentence.

It should sound a little something like this "WWP Fails". Period

Maybe we should have something on the home page saying:
"If you're here to ask about W:A or WWP hosting, go here ".

I think you can't host a game wghich others can join if you have a router.I have a router ,as well.And noone can join my games.So I realy belive noone can join router-hosted-games.

That's not true. You just don't know how to set it up properly and have completely failed to read the "How to host" guide in general discussion. Read that before jumping to false conclusions.

hmmm well its ur ip address if u want to fix it download the program ip override to fix this the extract it to just to this c:/team17/wormsworldparty then click next to extract it to there and it will work some how
