Well I heard they passed that new law where you cant smoke within 25 feet of a building, how dumb is that? are people really going to try and enforce this? They had something about it on they news, I'd watch it, but it was 10pm and I had to go to sleep. meh. And if you haven't guess yet, yes, I smoke. Dont try to talk me out of it, beacuse i've already tried. Well anyway, here are they questions
Are you a smoker?
Do you think the smoking within 25-feet of a building law is fair?

Well iam not a smoker, too.
I think the law is fair, same reasons as Star Worms.
You heard about the rumor that a black somking man got shot by the police cause he was smoking on the stairs of his house?
Very strange Country the USA...
Btw. iam going to a "smoke free university" but no one stops smoking, because no one forces them to not smoke there....

I agree with alot of Star Worms said, but I don't think that smoking should be banned completely. The problem of smuggeling will arise and thinsg will just get bad because so many people are trying to be illegal and smoke or just have serious problems adjusting to the sudden lack of smoking.
Oh and I don't smoke, like Star Worms said, it's a filthy habit.

He might just be clever enough to go to bed early in order to get up in the morning easier, unlike most of us mortals.
Around here, people under the age of 10 smoking ain't anything unusual anymore. Over a half people within the age range of 13-17 smoke here. Nobody cares that the stories about diseases caused by smoking you see on tv and read in books are real, and smoking will cripple your health and weaken your physical condition - there is no man who smoked for long time periods and got away unaffected (even if you know a dozen people in real life who smoke a lot and seem fine, they do have health problems because of it they just might not confess about, and if you do it, you might end up alot worse).
I smoked for a short time period along the age of 7 just to try it, being a foolish child, but i ain't gonna touch this stuff again. Dying of lung cancer ain't exactly the way i'd wish to leave this world..

Is this the USA?
Anyway, I think it is fair. I'm not a smoker, it's a filthy habit. I don't want smoke blown into my face as I'm walking down the street, it's unhygienic and they're damaging my health. If I get off a bus into town, there may be someone ahead of me smoking and blowing the smoke back into my face. It's inconsiderate. I think that's pretty unfair. Personally I think they should ban smoking completely. Smoking kills. Passive smoke kills. I don't want to be killed because people want to smoke.
Amen.
This law is good, but it's not doing anything to stop the carbon dioxide from filling our atmosphere.

I remember my cousin (the one in Indiana, for those keeping score at home) telling me about the time that he tried cigarrettes. To this day, he doesn't understand why people try to like them.
That's right, he said TRY. You have to put forth EFFORT to smoke, you have to focus on ignoring he horrid taste of it until you become too addicted to notice it anymore.
Either that, or have your taste buds surgically dulled into oblivion.

I dont understand what smoking has to do with going to bed at 10, I go to bed at ten because I get up at 7am and get ready to catch the bus to school. And sense I got kicked out of mshs, I have to go to the mountian si district office to be taught, and I take the 209 bus there. I just go to bed at 10 so I get 9 hours of sleep and so im not putting my head down on my desk everytime I try and get through a simple math problem.
I know smoking is a filthy habit, but its my choice. Its not like a smoke all the time though.
and smoking isn't suppose to taste good, tabacco is a stimulant.
And I totally disagree with the banning of smoking altogether. I mean, think about it, its like trying to ban beer, people are gonna smuggle it, sell it, and drink it no matter what anybody says. I think what got me into cigaretts in the first place was when I saw a lot of people around me smoking, so I decided to ask for one, and they gave it to me.
Its just one of those things. Theres not really any good reason to do it, but you do it anyway.

Well it looks like me and Kyle are the only smokers here but I don't agree with that at all.
Whats wrong with a crafty fag outside, then going inside once you finished it? You can't do that when you're clubbing, you can't talk to the bouncer and say...
"sorry mate, just going out for a fag".
Otherwise yu will have to pay to get back in! What a stupid law <--- My opinion

Kyle tabacco isn't a stimulant. Nicotine is the stimulant.

On the subject of banning smoking, the likeliness of it is very low due to the amount of money that the government makes from the heavy taxes on cigarettes. Though it is an obvious fact that if they were banned, over time the money will be made back from lowered hospital funding and more free beds.
