Is this the USA?

Anyway, I think it is fair. I'm not a smoker, it's a filthy habit. I don't want smoke blown into my face as I'm walking down the street, it's unhygienic and they're damaging my health. If I get off a bus into town, there may be someone ahead of me smoking and blowing the smoke back into my face. It's inconsiderate. I think that's pretty unfair. Personally I think they should ban smoking completely. Smoking kills. Passive smoke kills. I don't want to be killed because people want to smoke.

I think it is fair that people should be away from buildings when they smoke too. I remember on my work experinece at the vet, which was next to an office or something and there were several people standing outside the door. I wouldn't want to walk through the smoke to get to the building. I do however think that there should be designated smoking areas. There's no point in saying to people "You're not allowed to smoke here" if there's nowhere else to go.

Of course it will be very difficult to enforce but most people will obey the law, even if many do not.
