Yes I know, wrong forum, but the worms forums are not checked as much.
Ok, I was just wondering if it is possible to mod worms? I am talking mostly about WWP.
If it is, where are the mods?
If it isn't possible, why? Is it illegal or something? Or are the scripts to hard to edit?
It's like a gaming tradition to be able to mod.. (PC games)

The only thing I can think of right now about modding Worms is changing the W:A main title screen.
I found a couple on Clan Dark Matter's website.
As for you avy, it's very strange. Almost.. hypnotic

Aye, you can't mod WWP or WA apart from the tools already provided either in the scheme and weapon editor and the map editor (WWP only).
Edit: Your avatar's framerate is a wee bit fast, try using this:

You could mod it, but you'd either need access to the source code, or the ability to interpret assembly code.
As for modding itself. Officially, Team17 says you can't mod (wait for the next part). Unofficially, they don't really give a damn as long as you don't crash the WormNet servers or games on the server.

It would be cool to mod WA to have a media player built in. That I really would like. I find it annoying when I forget to put music on. :/

I find that the ability to make maps, schemes, missions, fiddler, etc. enough modishness.
What else is there to mod that can change the game that much. As for a media player, minimize the game and use winamp. (well..at least in the case of WA..so go play WA)

Ability to change physics? Create the map when in-game? Make the map-editor have zoom? Higher res menu?(seriously, it looks a bit shit in 2080*1024).

I'm talking about weapon mods and such.
Example:
"WWPWeaponPack"
Features:
Bazooka: Shoots its normal missile but also includes clusters that fall from it every second.
Holy Grenade: After the explosion, it sends 3 mines that fly from the explosion and land near by.
Banana Bomb: Bananas are now homing.. they home to the nearest enemy from explosion.
Etc... just some examples of what I'm talking about...meh.

W:A will have mod settings sometime in the future. Exactly when in the future is up to Deadcode though.
