If that screen's from Doom I, then it's 1993. If it's Doom II, then it's 1994. It's a pretty old game, so you have to remember that at the time those graphics were pretty much the cream of the crop.

And then Final Doom came to the world in 1995.
Then in 2004, it's Doom 3
Edit: wait, if there was Doom, Doom II, Final Doom. Should Doom 3 be Doom 4 instead?

It depends of the point of view.
If you consider it by the order of games, it should be doom 4
But if you consider it by the numbers(There wasnt a doom 3 before) then its fine

Shouldn't Worms 4 be Worms 8 (Or Worms 10 if you include the spin-offs)

If you count Ultimate Doom into the mix, Doom 3 should be Doom 5 But really, Ultimate Doom is just an expansion pack of the original. And I dunno where Final Doom falls into the mix. Perhaps it's in Doom's somewhat lacking storyline?

Now that I think about it, Final Fantasy XII will be the 29th if you include the spin-offs.

Doom had a storyline?

Doom had a storyline?
Doom I-
Marines have a base on one of Mars's moons, Phobos. Gateway to hell is open, and demons overrun Phobos. You get sent there to try to clean it up. You're doing pretty well, but then you die and go to hell. You must fight your way out and save the day. Yay, you did!
Doom II-
...Or did you? Oh no, more demons! This time they're on EARTH! Kill them! And so you did. Hoorah!
That's the storyline I've come to know. Not exactly a novel, but there have been Doom books... books that I haven't read, they probably explain the plot a lot better.

They learnt by the 3rd one to give up with the storyline. Well, atleast there isin't one in the xbox version (They cut a lot out of it aswell apperantly.) plus it's ugly as hell (Pointy heads) and the guns are very underpowered feeling.

Well, Doom 3 kinda had a storyline behind it. But it was seperated from the others.
If it carried on from the others, the demons would already be causing havoc, but they way they have done it is that you actually see how hell's gate was opened.
More "in depth" but the same as the other 2 if you will.
