I just want to show how huge communities(10000+) can work on diefrent way.

First we have one good example:

This forum have more than 100000 members, and everyone are realy frendly, you can talk about anything you want and so on, like BTP just bigger Even admins will help you if you ask, nobody will ban you becouse 2 posts of spam.

Bad example is:
http://forums.gamemaker.nl/
Game Maker forum.
Mods lock threads for nothing, admins are unreachable, if you miss forum for thread, thread will get deleted/locked/removed without anyone telling you why and when, admins are unreachable, generaly, everybody are unfrendly and dont want to help you if 2 years ago same thread were posted and you have to search hundreds of thread for something that someone can say in 1 post....

Say what you think how one huge community should looks like, and how you think BTP will looks like if it one day have 10000 members. I vote first one

Incredible, the 2 forums are made with the same software

But the fact that BTP being a good communnity is 50% users and 50% Admins.

However this forum is very friendly(Otherwise I wouldnt have post about 500 posts here ) so BTP will become the first one easily

As long as we don't have any more annoying persons coming in (or at least, not more than normal), if we EVER get to 10000+, we'll be the first one.

Any forum that locks topics for no reason isn't worth my time or energy to get anything done there.

yeah, we always give a reason, and the number of active admins mean we can all second guess each other.

www.neowin.com is another good example of an excellent working huge website.

I must use GM forum becouse it is usualy only way to find anything about game maker...

And, they have some realy shit function, search keyword must be 4 chatacters long, which means imposible to search for 3D, RTS, RPG, FPS and many other keywords that are crucial for making video games..




Hehe, there are always some admin active, and that is very good way in stoping spam.

There's got to be some other forums out there for GM Archamond. You just have to look.

Alternatively, you could actually learn a programming language and then you'd have a plethora of choices for forums.

I suggest you C++, its the best for make advanced applications, however its very difficult to learn, so you must have patience and effort
