How does a movied called Mr. and Ms. smith make more money than Star wars 3....

Something has to be said for Special effects and story line.,,,

That smith movie is nothing but over used story plots and special effects...

While Starwars, altought the so called "epidsiod 1 and 2" movies sucked, the 3rd one was most excelent". Now how does a crappy special effects movie over run a junky SFX movie.....


God I hate this world........ what is wrong with people....

The movie made more than starwares? Lol, I wanted to see the movie myself, they made the previews attract me into wanting to see it (need a car and some money first)

Yeah, that waaaay overused - i cant count the number of times i've seen that storyline used.

uuuuhhh.....do you even know what the movie is about?! I've never heard of a movie with the same plot, much less so many that I'm bored with it. seems to me like you're just trying to find something to complain about.

i refuse to go and see it and am appauled that it has made more than star wars episode 3 which i thought was quality

no idea, I've not seen it, though I wouldn't mind it (I'm not gunna put forth effort into seeing it, but if I'm going to the movies anyway, it's one I'd consider seeing)

Start Wars is a geek movie.
Geek movies = Lots of pirating.
Star Wars Episode III lost the money because the cheap geeks didn't want to be called geeks when they went to the theater, so they pirated it.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith is a date movie and geeks don't want to see that. Therefore Mr. & Mrs. Smith won't be pirated and will make more money.

You know, he's absolutely right about that. Pirating does take a big chunk of money out of a movie's profits.

but i dont want to see it... and if i dont want to see it that means the rest of the world shouldnt want to watch it herefore it doesnt deserve to be better than starwars because star wars rox because i say and therefore it does... *deep breath* thank you and goodnight

That plot was in Spy Kids (It wasn't a main plot that had anything to do with the story, but it was in there)

The smith movie is gonna be one of thoes movies that will be forgeten tommorow. Using a cheesy story line and super neat speical effects with well known actors... it will be big in theaters but after that... nothing... a few movie buffs will buy it for there collection when it comes to video... but I really do not see a cult or over zellious fans comming from this movie...

Star wars on the other hand; (and it is not just for geeks, just cuase a movie is sci-fi does not mean it is a "geek" movie. we all post on a website dedicated to a game... are we no differnt?) The story line is just sensational and the characters are next to unbeatable. Even tho when star wars first came out it was too a over the hill special effects movie... but do you really think people will be remebering MR. and MRS. smith 20 years from now....
