I think the worst one I always come across was the Love Bug.
Sent around email by email on Valentines Day, it looked like a normal Valentines Day chain letter.

there was a virus that poped up on your screen as a slot machine...

if you win then it leaves you be
if you loose then it wipes your hd
and if you try and turn the computer off it wont let you turn it back on... (not sure how that works though)

let me also state that there is a file called Beautiful Ass and it won't show the send of the file name but i know that it is Beautiful Ass.pif and i have had that sent twice to me by kikumbob (I think) and someone callled Alfie and also alfie has send me that John Kerry as Super Chicken.scr

Well, I don't know exactly how they'd do it, but it's possible to do a couple of things with virus's. You can run down the ram so low that the computer wouldn't respond, but that requires turning it on. The best thing I can think of is that it temporarliy deleted the drivers neccessary for the system to turn on, and it only reinstated it if you played the game, meaning it'd also be the only thing it DIDN'T erase totally if you lost.

The virus I got was called beautiful ass, but the main one came with many other files which the computer could identify a program for. one was named kerry as super chicken and there were many others. Its fooking strange
