it has grafix that are better that n64... It has online chat and gaming capabilities... able to play MP3s and Mpegs, as soon as the adapter comes out in february in japan. its like a pda. Any one else have one? Tell about it!

it looks cheap.

I've one. I quite like it. The PictoChat is really just for doodling. The range only makes it useful when you're goofing off when you shouldn't be. The games are gonna get good later this year. Mario64 is good, though I'm stuck now This system has some good potential. I expect good things from it. (Except, I hope Capcom releases Darkstalkers for the DS and not just the PSP. That's the only thing I'm jealous of :/) @ Jay... $150, is that cheap? For all that it is, I'd say it's worth every penny It is sorta on the big side, but two screens and such probably need it. Or they're just trying to get people with ginormous hands to get it... I ain't paying the price tag on the PSP. Too steep for a handheld...

I'd probably get one, but I lack any place that I can easily rack up $150 from. So, I'll just stick with my GBA and PS2 thank you very much.

One thing I don't get is, how they can have an online game without it being hooked up to anything =/

I think its got bluetooth but not 100% sure..

Personally I think there a bit big n bulky, and they probably eat battery life with its 2 screens...

PSPs look ace, but I don't know how much they will cost here. $150 is cheap, that is less than a Gameboy SP here.

They actually have a pretty strong battery life. It basically depends on what you're doing, and you can charge it. And I pity anyone who wastes the full battery life in one sitting... they're not terribly huge. They fit in my pockets fine. I think they're just right... although your hand does get a bit tired when you're playing Metroid Prime: First Hunt whilst using one hand to aim, and one other to move and to hold up the DS. I'm stickin with Ninty on this one.

The software, Pictochat, built into the DS isn't online, just it has a remote sensor up to 50m (correct me if I'm wrong) that picks up other DS that are one.

It's bluetooth or wifi.

There is a proposed online adapter that should be coming out sometime this year though...



PSP's battery life will be very short compared to the DS. Especially when playing graphic intensive games or DVDs, since it uses power as it needs it, instead of a constant stream like the GB or GBA

the psp wont be too expensive, its not viable to, thing is, they cant produce as many as nintendo can, per month.

IF i buy a handheld it will be a psp. The games are what i like. Ive seen so many comparison photos of the screens. The PSP is as bright as the DS on its lowest brightness setting.

Money is such a big issue though, i cant justify the 100 pounds it seems to wiegh in at for portable things over here. The games arnt cheaper than normal games either... :/
