Well, I saw this at another forum, and it was just too deep (and funny) not to pass up. So, for your viewing pleasure, philosophy according to a stoned person!
It is that time again. I have gotten stoned and am about to enlighten you. I have been thinking. That means I have something to think about, and so, I place what I'm thinking about out before you, so that you may think about it, too. I explained most of this to Amdoran the other night in the chat but I've thought it out and refined a bit more.
Ok, here comes the bulk of my P-Bomb in one sentence. Brace yourself. Are you ready? Here goes. All of civilization since the dawn of man, has been concerned with the moving of rocks. Every civilization is built from the basic principle that we need to move rocks. Alright, that was a lot to absorb if you let it absorb. We have been moving rocks since the cavemen times. We moved rocks. We used rocks to move rocks. We used rocks, to make better rocks with which to move rocks. Ultimately though, we were just moving rocks. And then we started using rocks for currency. and then we made other rocks to represent these rocks that we were moving around. Today, we still just move rocks around.
And you might wonder to yourself, why? Why move rocks? What is the ultimate purpose of me moving rocks? The answer is that you move the rocks to make yourself more comfortable. There was another one of those deep thoughts. You gotta watch out for those. We move the rocks because we need to feel more comfortable, and we need to feel more comfortable, because we can feel. There, I did it again. Because we can conceptualize the emotion that a certain word implies, we seek comfort by moving rocks. And that rock is what tethers you to the physical plane. Because, if you didn't have a rock that you needed to move and that needed to be moved by you, The your being would have no purpose in this realm and therefore, you would cease to be. You would have no rock to move and therfore nothing to chain you here in this physical plane of existence.
Now argue back and forth amongst yourselves over your perception of the true meaning of my words.

i USED to be a land scaper and moved lots and lots of rocks... my knees are shot.. i dont do it anymore.
Our world is based on astectics. If it isn't pleasing to the eye, it has to go. People use stone to make sculptures, again, astetics. Rocks are uncomfortable to walk on, so they are hid by covering, or larger ones are moved to a place where they are less likely to be steped on.
Moving rocks: the meaning of life.. nah i dont think so. But for some this can be a way of life. Espsially for those of us that landscape. Retaining walls are built of stone.. (usually) driveways paved in coble stone, even Roadways are made of tar and stone / gravel.
Im not arguning any point, just adding to the above post. It does seem to make some sence even taken literaly.

If everywhere you see "rocks" you replace it with "stuff", it makes alot more sense...
But the whole idea is that rocks make the world go round. Without rocks nothing would have happened (especially since this planet is made up of them so-to-speak).
PS: It's aesthetics.

But the whole idea is that rocks make the world go round.
According to Mr Hankey's 'Circle Of Poo' song, it's Poo that makes the world go round
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
Everything that lives on Earth poos in some way
And that's how the cycle happens each and every day
Just look at the green green grass and the birds up in the sky
It's all here because of poo and now I'll tell you why
Grass is eaten by the cattle
Which is eaten by women and men
It fuses with their body, and becomes poo again
And that poo goes through the sewer
where it's dumped into the sea
and its eaten by the plankton to become the fishes meat
When that bigger fish with the poo still inside
Swims up near the shore and gets eaten alive
By a grizzly bear that poos on a dead piece of sand
So that it can spring to life and become poo for the land!
It's the poo of the antelope, the poo of the giraffe
That crawls up to the Earth, and becomes the blades of grass
The grass is eaten by the cattle, which comes out the other end
To make poo for the humans, and start all over again.
Mr: Hankey: You see son? You're not an insignificant part of life!
You are life!
Cornwallis: But how can I be that blade of grass? Or a human?
I don't control what they do
Mr. Hankey: Just like your heart beats without you even thinking about it.
So do your giraffes and humans do what they do. Without you even
thinking about it! But it is all one life form. It is all... you.
Cornwallis: I think I see now
Deep singing voice:
I'm the poo of the antelope, that flows onto the ground
Mr. Hankey: Becomes the grass of tomorrow
Deep singing voice: Yeah!
Mr. Hankey: Which the critters turn around
Deep singing voice: So I'm the leg of a leopard. And the wings of the hen.
Both: Which becomes dinner for humans, and turn back to poo again. Thats the circle, the circle of poooooooooooo.

I suppose that's one "good" thing about my degree (aero engineering), there aren't too many terms/words/etc that have "alternative" meanings.
What, like cockpits, turboshafts, thrust, nozzles, corkscrews, ram drag, payload, flaps, and wind tunnels? |

Glenn's version he found actually makes sense. I think the 'Circle of Poo' was created mainly for comic affect.
Still has the same sort of meaning though
