Whilst I convince my parents that switching ISP is a good idea, I still have to use AOL.

Unfortunatly, AOL have stopped letting people download 8.0

9.0 is a load of shit as it adds many extra und-needed processes...I refuse to install that version.

I'm currently on 7.0; as good as AOL can be, but causing me troubles. Steam, Valve's game client, won't work with version 7.0 for some reason.

If any of you have an old AOL 8.0 CD (the likelihood of that is the same chance of your house not having electricity), could you please contact me through MSN and send me all the files on it.

I've treid seearching the web for an 8.0 installation, but there is only an american version which won't work with the UK aol.

err i might accually have one or two pope. I will make it a point to look around for one. There might even be some at wal-mart. next time im up there i'll see if there still hanging from that little display thingy. There those stupid try AOL free things for 90 days or whatever.

Anywho, i'll look, no promises tho.
I guess i can zip the contents of teh CD and e-mail it to ya.. or ipload it somewhere for you to Download.

tH, that link does have an 8.0 setup, jsut it gives an error saying I should ring their helpline.

Meia, you're a saint! It's worked! You solved my problem better than 3 different technical support AOL staff couldn't do over the phone. Huzzah!

(Still getting Bulldog internet very soon, 1mb, but atleast now I can play on steam!)
