Hey all, this is my first post.
I just wanted to know has anyone made battle races for WWP, ive seen them in W:A and they look fun.

Yes there are BattleRaces in WWP.
But they are not as fun as they are in W:A. Cause in W:A, it's all colour

are they on this site?, also how do i upload a mission (im working on a basketball one)

I just found that but it says W:A not WWP, also my basketball mission is a sort of rip of alexs sorry, wont post it if u dont want me too.

What's possible in W:A for maps, is probably possible for WWP as well, albeit at a lower cosmetic quality ;P Unless the creator didn't want to color it either way...

You all realize that there was map making before the png era, right?

I have a few .bit battleraces, but I can't say for sure whether they'd work in WWP. I could try, but I can't be bothered to find the CD, and WWP doesn't like me much anyway. Anyone else want to test?

PS: You can play battleraces by yourself by saving the PNG map, then converting the PNG to JPEG, GIF, or BMP, and placing it in your import directory.
You can play them online too, by clicking the preview terrain button and saying yes to color loss so that you can save it in the map editor as a .bit. But I can't guarantee the quality of map you'll get for doing this...

what the heck is a png?is it short for ping?

Its an image compression extension (or thats how i call it) thats 10x better than jpeg

1. Download a .png.
2. Open a graphics editing program and save it as jpg, gif, or 256 color bmp.
3. Place this file is the User/Import folder.
4. Load the map in game.
5. Click the preview terrain button.
6. Say yes when asked whether you want color loss or not.
7. Save the map.

That should do it.



If you don't know what something is (ex: extnetions) then google it instead of making a fool of yourself...

Most of my battle race maps should work in WWP


PNG is not just for compression, and jpg can compress photos smaller than png. PNG photos are either huge file size or bad quality.

I figured that, since ive seen the large BMP sizes decrease like 70% converting to png..

I think The Pope would have something to say about that.
He used to use AOL
