I can't read most of it, so I just ignore it. I put this up in the general forum because it seems somehow, we all have it inside of us. Quoted :: "Willinator" Yes, I hate internet shorthand. Who invented internet shorthand? Something tells me the maker of internet shorthand was American, because shorthand is the epitome of LAZINESS. For you people that don't know what internet shorthand is, you either: 1) Know it by another name 2) Just recently got introduced to the net 3) Have been living under a rock for the past 35 years Thanks to my superior langauge skills, I finally have been able to decipher shorthand (with great difficulty), and classified shorthand speakers into some categories, from best to worst. 1) The Occasional Slip-upper This kind of person speaks in regular English, but sometimes lets off an LOL or WTF here and there. These people I can tolerate. 2) Regular Shorthand Speaker This person has become used to using shorthand, and it's an integral part of their speech. A sample of text from a Number 2 would be: I know I mean its like u didnt see it from da start an ur so dum 3) Abuser of Shorthand This person speaks so much shorthand it ain't funny. These people need their fingers broken. A sample of text from them would be: ur so stupd i meen wtf dats so sad u suk bals lol 4) Hails from Shorthandtopia This person probably grew up with Shorthand as their first language. An excerpt of text by them can be found at Maddox's site, but for purposes, I'll put it here: few things id like 2 clear up 4 u! most women; 1) have nothing 2 settle wiv men (excpt they need 2 laern were the better sex!) 2) we dont get offended by u callin us 'chicks' its just most mens vocb dnt stretch v far thats y we gt annoyed! 3)u meet a gal that dnt shave, stay away! i agree its rng In conclusion: If there was a Romeo that spoke shorthand, there will be PUNISHMENT.
