Well, inspiration hit me again (finally), so I made the following animated avatar. I have one problem though. For some reason, the animation just doesn't seem to run at the speed I want (it runs slower). So, I sped up all the frame times. Now we get to the helping part. On my computer, after exporting it, both images run at exactly the same speed, even though there's timing differences (you can see them and how they should look in Fireworks). Any suggestions?

heh, nice animation ^^
but i don't understand this frame rate thing, maby you are getting frame rate mixed up with frame delay..
and the top anim is faster than the bottom.
it says"donk!" first.

Yeah, frame delay is what I meant. But, if you watch them a couple times, you'll notice that one isn't pulling away from the other, which should happen since the second one is about two seconds shorter than the first one.
Edit: *looks at Akuryou's post*
Hrm... that's strange, it doesn't change at all whether I look at it in IE or Firefox...

ok, NOW it's screwing up, but it's cause of the text, in the fast animation, the text scrolls slow, and in the slow one, the text scrolls fast, so that it ends up at the same speed, overall.

Well, I found the problem, actually, there were two.
1) I hadn't updated to Firefox 1.0 yet (now that I have, they show the speed difference).
2) I noticed that if I set a delay to 1/100th of a second, it slows the animation down.
This one should be better all around.

Its pretty good nice one.
But i think you should use a slightly clearer font for the speech text.

1) It's supposed to remotely resemble the text you might get in game.
2) It was a total pain for me to get all that text to run correctly, so don't expect me to change it.

the text is fine, it really looks like game texts, that's what i thought when i saw it, before reading the posts. That's very nice job you made there.
I have FF 1.0 (final), it runs well. I think the speed problem is browser related, on some forums i have read that, but i don't remember everything, if i remember wel, IE changes framerates sometimes, when it's going too fast.

Like I said, as soon as I updated from Firefox v0.9 to v1.0, it started running right .
BTW, the font is Onyx, my favorite font type.
Also, if you didn't notice (hopefully you did), Frog/Glenn bleeds and the Tonberry has blood on its knife at the end.

If you look at the last two frames before the fade out, you see:
1) Glenn has some blood on his clothes when he's kneeling.
2) When he falls, he spills (faint) blood on the ground.

Yes, beforehand, the frames per second were capped. Now they arnt, so many animations, like glenns running man in his av, go very fast.
